A new way to save..if it existed

Greener greenbacks? If only there were "domestic agenda bonds" just like there used to be "war bonds" during the WWII. Then socially responsible funds could invest in u.s. treasuries govt. bonds, t-bills etc...without funding the weapons and war industry. I know there are muni-bonds and such, but it would be nice if there were some on the national level. Our financial geniuses with consciences (I know you're out there) should look into how this might work. Here's your free invention for the day.
